The Blue Djinn is an evil genie who was apparently defeated by Lord Guano in the past. But now he's back, and he's angling to take down the Genie Lords... but how does Jeanie factor into his plans?
Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Hey Jean broke the all power artifact that could stop Blue by using it as a club. So swing and a hit and a huge miss maybe Kazom should have trained Jean to use it first?
Given the fairly large magical explosion I suspect it may have done the job as a club. Sitcom universe, remember? Expect Blue to be defeated in the most humiliatingly mundane way possible.
My take on the matter is that it the lantern itself that flying out there behind the Blue Djinn. The Quat Euzma was pumped right into the Blue Djinn body alias Jeanie Body. The question that I want to know is, does Jeanie have to make some enchantment over the Quat Euzma to get it to work or does it work on it own.
Beside, that stuff that flying off behind the Blue Djinn isn’t Green, but, is dark gray the color of the Lantern that carries the Green stuff.
My guess is that the Quat Euzma was held inside the lantern looking thing just like the Infinity Stone was tucked inside the Tesseract. The loud boom in panel 3 is what happens when it hits the ground. Did anyone else notice the green goo splattered all over the window glass? Blue Genie ichor maybe?
Yes, now that you mentioned it. It probably spatter all the Blue Djinn and all over Neil Apartment too. That only a small piece of the Qual Euzma that flying over the Blue Djinn head, no telling where the rest of it went. I am assuming that it either in a Liquid or gaseous state and it needed the lantern looking thing to keep it all together or it would fly apart into utter Kaos, witch is why it needed a container in the first place.
Jean knocked off the egg of that make a genie truly powerful that you can be banished just for trying to steal it back in the last chapter 11 cant remember the name but very powerful very important.
No, the Green Stuff is actually the Glow of the Quat Euzma. It has a Green Glow to it naturally. If you go back to when Kazom first introduced us to it, it had a Green Glow to it and all the way up to where Jeanie runs into the Blue Djinn, it had a Green Glow to it. Even in panel one, it still kind of has a Green Glow to it. Then we see nothing, but, the Grey of the Lantern that carried the Quat Euzma or the Green stuff. I assume, since we don’t see the Green Glow, that it now inside the Blue Djinn body.
The green glowing thing is the Quat Euzma. The lantern gadget was just so Kazom could move it around. The chaos magic allowed Jean to move through Blue’s defenses. But now the Quat Euzma is loose and Blue is probably at least temporarily discombobulated. Jean has a chance…. My guess is the chaos gem is going to land in Rouyya’s prison, probably freeing her.
Not quite, Rouyaa is in another apartment (the next one, to be fair), so the Quat isn’t landing on her little bottle any time soon. With that said, that was HUGE explosion, more than what a simple Smashed Lamp is worth of.
We are obviously on the down side of this arc of Jeanie Bottle, there not too much more that can go wrong or happen.
1. Two of the main character were turned into mice.
2. Jeanie has been de-Genified.
3. The villain is going around for her victory lap to taking over the Genie Realm.
The only question now is, does everything reset itself or do we have to have Jeanie and Neil straighten everything out now?
Chaotic magic, by definition, is unpredictable. Therefore, it could do anything, including stitching up any loose plot threads, such as the mouseification of Niel and Rodge: restoring Jean to either to a guy or a bottle genie, giving Rouyaa back her powers, etc.
It could also turn the world into a peanut… or more frighting even, switch the parody from 60’s Sitcons, into full anime and turn the whole cast into Sailor Scouts!
This stupid dub-ism backfired on them SO HARD. Even people who weren’t in the know about them actually being lesbians picked up on the sexual tension between them in the scenes the censors couldn’t cut. So they became lesbian cousins in the eyes of some watchers.
You aim low. Chaotic magic can turn Jean into guy bottle genie, give Rouyaa back her powers and memory, recreate Eva, make Germany retroactively win second world war only to be then defeated by Melvin’s father, who will be alive and active in politics, and humans had colonized Mars AND that planet between Mars and Jupiter which wouldn’t be turned into asteroid field. Kazom will be leader of all Genies and no longer cat.
Probably very wrong on this–but to me, it looks like the green glow came out from under Blue’s cap. Note that the Quat Euzma fragments are going down, but the glow goes up and over.
No idea what that means.
And note: *blam! is the sound of the Quat Euzma breaking against Blue’s face. What, exactly, makes the BOOM!, and shatters the window?
I also see Jeanie held the QE in her hands, not by the pole Kazom had to use.
And i wonder how the two mousies will attract Jeanie’s attention, and communicate their true identities? (My guess: Blue’s defeat will automatically cause them to revert.)
Well, we have Quat Euma magic or chaotic magic colliding with Genie magic. There is a very nasty reaction when those two different types of magic collide with each other. That what caused the explosion.
Kazom more or less told Jean that direct contact between an inherently magical being (such as a genie) and the Quat Euzma was hazardous to the being, and “only” a non-magical being could handle it without backlash. Here, Jean has smashed it directly against Blue. In the most extreme case, this may have unmade Blue completely (hence the explosion when all of Blue’s remaining magic becomes unanchored). Less extreme, but still plausible, is that Blue is incapacitated by the contact for long enough for him/her to be re-sealed.
To be fair, Kazom didn’t really tell her HOW to use that artifact, so this could very well be what was needed. Jeanie doesn’t have magic anymore, so she can’t exactly do an incantation or cast a spell, so this makes sense, honestly.
JEAN: BITCH! breaks bottle on BLUE! JEAN’s face
SFX: BOOM!
RODGE: Hey, Neal.
NEAL: Yeah? JEAN pounces on BLUE! JEAN, grabbing two handfulls of BLUE! JEANs hair. BLUE! JEAN, acting on instinct, returns the favor, and the two start spinning about in an upright catball.
RODGE: Got some popcorn we can get to?
NEAL: Yeah! And if we put our backs into it, we can get the top off the two-liter soda! Crashes and thumps are heard as the two JEANs spin into various pieces of furniture. Finally a THUMP is heard as the two finally fall to the floor and assume a more traditional catball
NEAL: If we gotta watch this, we might as well enjoy it.
Why am I seeing this chaos end with Jean back in her bottle genie body (with whatever happens to the blue djinn), and now married to Guano (unbreakable bond!) that comes into play in the next chapter.
Back when Blue was searching for Jeanie’s bottle, he sensed the original inhabitant, who happened to live next door: Ms. Eden. She’s actually an amnesiac former-genie who had her powers taken away, named Rouyaa. When Blue found her and stuck her inside a bottle, she de-aged, becoming the young lady we see in panel 4.
It’d only be fair for Jean to be restored to her status as a bottle genie and the Blue Djinn to be trapped in a female human body. And the two mice — and the two guard dogs — are all restored to their human bodies. Of course, if the Blue Djinn had amnesia, and the guard dogs got FEMALE human bodies, that’d be cute, too. May be the ex-dogs and Miss Blue will get jobs in that strip club that Jean always sends Natalie to when she zaps Neil.
About time Jean cutting it close but now its time to take back your body and show Blue why your the boss around here.
Hey, as long as it gets the job done, no harm done (except to Blue, but he had it coming).
@Pilgrim Oh I hope so! I’m hoping for the most stupid humiliating defeat of the Blue Djinn possible.
Perhaps Blue has been turned human – But in Jean’s old male body. New ways for Blue to get revenge on Jeanie
I have KNEW about this “fight” for a year now, and still… I didn’t see THAT one coming!
What’s the green bit that flew off in panel 2? Is that from the artifact or from Blue?
I’m assuming it’s a chunk of whatever used to be inside the Quat Euzma.

Larry, I think Xiren was asking about the green bit that flew over Blue’s head in the upper right of panel 2.

But, it did make a nasty explosion!
I believe that the green splat you are talking about is supposed to be breaking glass.
Jean knocked off the egg of that make a genie truly powerful that you can be banished just for trying to steal it back in the last chapter 11 cant remember the name but very powerful very important.
The Hubun Jadid? No, I don’t think so. Those are was red, rather than green. And Blue already used it for the binding ritual with Guano.
Taking a wild-ass guess, maybe the green thingie represents the breaking of the Hubun Jadid that Blue used to bind Guano to her will.
Did it work?
If it’s stupid but it works, then it wasn’t stupid.
Maxim 43: If it’s stupid and it works, it’s still stupid, and you’re lucky.
The green glowing thing is the Quat Euzma. The lantern gadget was just so Kazom could move it around. The chaos magic allowed Jean to move through Blue’s defenses. Please let Jeannie become the blue djinn. The fallout would be a-may-zing!!!
Jean, “I got my body back! Buy why is my outfit blue instead of pink?”
Lord Guano, “Blue Djinn, it’s time.”
Jean, “Oh crap!”
We are obviously on the down side of this arc of Jeanie Bottle, there not too much more that can go wrong or happen.

that sounds pretty epic, actually
Bishoujo Senshi, NOT Sailor Scouts. And Haruka and Michiru are NOT cousins.
> Haruka and Michiru are NOT cousins.

“Whoops” doesn’t really cover it.

That lantern land on blue’s bonce like Thor’s hammer,Ouch someone’s going to have a big headache.
I thought panel 3 was shattered window glass.
It is
Well, I hope that worked.

the Blam is the lantern that held the Quat Euzma breaking, the BOOOM is what happened because it did.
Yes, understood–but what exactly happened because of the QE breaking? Presumably we’ll find out with the next installment.

who is the girl in the bottle,,I am lost
that is rouyaa, the twenty third concubine in Haji’s harem. She was Sid’s genie until she got demoted.
If Rouyaa keeps de-aging could she hang out with Honey Brady
To be fair, she didn’t exactly get a whole lot of instructions.
yeah Ikea version

I like it!
I really hope Jean didn’t just screw everything up by breaking that (look at that little green marble fly!)
Leroy Jenkins…or something like that
At least the window is broken so the mice can get back in.
Talk about a sucker punch.
