Hey my female counterpart for Rodge name thanks for remembering that idea I would like to see Natalie and Rouge together.
Much like Marcel Duchamp and his “Fountain” sculpture. The artist got the joke, the guy who he put up to eat the banana got the joke, I got the joke…but I can never figure out if the art world got the joke.

Oof… that hurts. Jean needs to learn responsibility with her magic and all, maybe a bit of humility, but that hurts. Hate to see her cry like this.

Jeanie may remember being a guy and may have faun memories of being a guy, but, just about everything that we been seeing her do or act like lately says that she girl now.
The ghost talking to Jeanie is the Chinese-speaking genie the Blue Djinn killed in Shanghai.

The male ghost Genie that got it back to us is Guano.
no, no, Guano’s still alive. that’s 1 of the guards the Blue Djinn killed. though they do look alike.
There seems to be 3 female “ghosts” and two male. Three of them can be accounted for but obviously Blue was busy off screen. So, killing a genie outright also added to Blue’s power? If so, then there are three empty totems loose in the world (from the three murdered guards).
He destroyed their totems.. hence they are ‘dead’
So Blue off loaded all the spirits of the jennies, he absorbed, into Jean to. He is the purest form of evil.
Maybe their combined knowledge will reveal a plan, assuming they can stop accusing the obviously naïve numb nuts and try thinking. Also, this seems to play counter to the theory that a broken totem kills the genie… there’s a genie after life?
There is also a chance they are just as “dead” as Jeanie was, back in the Melvin storyline. So far, in looks really similar, not to mention, they are not complaining about being “dead”, instead, about the loss of their totem and magic.

In order to rescue the dead genies Jean and Neil will have to travel back in time and stop Rouyaa from messing with NASA’s budget. Of course Jean with never become a genie and they will both be stuck in the past. Then Rouyaa will have to use her magic to send them back to the future. Oh where is Emmit Brown when you need him.
I don’t see Jeanie being de-geniefied, but, they may have to make a new Totem for Rouyaa or Jeanie, but, then it would leave a hole where Ms Eden is in the time line. Speaking of Dr. Emmit Brown, this would be one of those paradoxes that could destroy the entire universe or it may be just a local disaster that will only destroy solar system or just the earth. But, that the worst case scenario and the best case scenario.
Going by the spacetime mechanics introduced as far back as Jeanie Bottle 6, Jeanie and Niel’s little journey through time is very likely to be a closed loop scenario. Meaning Rouyaa’s bottle is going to end up in Jean’s hand no matter what they do. Heck, I have a feeling Jeanie’s trip to the past may even be a direct cause of Jean♂️ later finding the bottle.
Maybe they could all band together and fight.
The Blue Djinn absorbed their magic but could new totems be created for them since their spirts still exist?
Well, they had to create those totem in the past at some point to hold those Genie originally, so logic dictates that they should be able to make new totem for those spirit Genie’s, but, there going to have to defeat the Blue Djinn, because, he the one that stole there Genie Magic. Without Genie Magic, there is no Genie.
Is Neil going to be stuck as a Jewish Elf this year. But then he was an awesome Santa Claus.
Might be something similar to that… 🙂
I would recommend Crystal and J.J. as the Elves. Give Red and Natalie a break this year.

If big blue was being really mean he would have arranged it so that any clothes that Jean puts on suddenly poof into a harem outfit
You forget he’s all about the vicious psychological attacks, rather than small cheap shots (previous page being one example)
Jeanie mentioned that she doesn’t even know all the evil things she was forced to do as Blue’s mindslave. I bet she doesn’t recognize most of those “ghosts”.
The greatest bit about the banana duct tapped to a wall art piece was when someone removed it and wrote “epstein didn’t kill himself” which then the guards quickly covered it up.
Probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think it’s about time Jeanie’s actions catch up with her. I do wonder how things are going to play out going forward though. I feel like this is probably more a guilt-induced hallucination than the spirits of the dead genie haunting her. Well, hopefully that’s the case, since if they are spirits and they can be brought back, it kinda removes the consequence once they do manage to succeed.

Maybe for the minor characters we don’t know. But Rodge will still have been traumatized by Lilly trying to eat him, Neil will still (probably) feel a lot more protective of Jeanie after all this, and Jeanie’s quite fucked in the head right now. Bringing genies back to life won’t fix that.
We know that Jeanie wasn’t acting on her own free will kind of thing. But, actually, there are several possibilities here:
1. Jeanie didn’t see all of it, but, she did see some of it. Like some one in the passenger seat of car, you can see what the drivers doing.
2. Jeanie saw absolutely nothing the the Blue Djinn was doing. We know Jeanie saw and felt something, so it wasn’t completely unknown to her.
3. There was still some bleed threw to Jeanie conscious mind like being in the Dream world or something.
4. As far as the three ghost spirits, there are sever possibilities here too. They could be actual spirits that are haunting Jeanie or Jeanie feeling guilty for what happened to those other Genie[s, because she was tricked by the Blue Djinn, that how he was able to take over Jeanie body to do these deeds.
Or some combination of the above with maybe a few other things that I didn’t mention or think of, thrown into the mix too.
Jean didn’t know what the Blue Djinn was doing when BD destroyed the totem of the Chinese-speaking genie in Shanghai, so that’s not just Jean’s guilty conscience talking to her in the fourth panel.
I’m just surprised Jean isn’t also having issues with being so emotional and so forth, having different emotions and crying over this instead of reacting more like he might have when still a man.
Or maybe we’ll see that later, or in another storyline.
In and around 2 hours it begins.
I think it is about time that Jean has an emotional reaction to being turned into a female, long over due.
I think we already had the major out burst when Jean first became Jeanie and there wasn’t anything that he could do about it. Like when she made a demand on Neil to use one of his wishes like right now to turn her back into a him or she would do something nasty to him or at least the fear to do something to him. She brought it up again when she went to Genie School, where Kazom gave her the bad news that he is no longer a mortal male at his core, but, an magic female Genie at his core forever.
From the day that Jean picked up that bottle and was turned into Jeanie, he as a mortal man has been slowly leaking away and being replaced with a magic female Genie girl. Other changes to the way that Jeanie thinking is changing in that female Genie’s have a mother spirit about themselves for there master. There a hint that even that aspect of a female Genie is gradually becoming a part of Jeanie too. It a very slow process, but, it been going on for almost year now. The Jean part of Jeanie is slowly giving away to becoming the Jeanie side of Jean.
Jeanie is acting like a girl and not a guy! She still remembers being a guy and may still have some aspiration of being a guy again, but, over time, that is increasingly not who she is anymore. There been a slow continual process of transforming Jean into a magic female Genie girl spirit.
At some point Jeanie is going to feel uncomfortable being a male mortal or Genie and it won’t even feel natural anymore. She has lost the urgency of becoming a guy again and is even starting to get comfortable with being a girl and on some level, she even starting to like even.
Wow! I hope that experience, Jeanie will grow as a person and try not to take people for granted. Maybe she will learn to better herself and learn from her mistakes. I hope for the best.
