Jeanie Bottle 533
My initial, gut reaction to this page was “Oh no! Poor Lilly!”
CD’s reaction to me saying that was, “She was a literally man eating plant…”
And I’m like, “I know! But that was still my gut reaction…….She was hot.”

And another villain dies tragically.
*takes off hat*
Well, she didn’t seem that bad. Peculiar diet, though.
I love it, both are saved by accidental butt dialing and choking gasp voice recognition.
Genie uses a Speed boat to kill a man eating plant. That’s front page news.
Not in Florida.
It’s super effective.
Araceli is eleven
11?
of Stranger Things
Ohhh! I haven’t seen that.
Where did the Speedboat come from? for that matter, why do i have an urge to say “hey wait, where’d you get that piano?”?
> Where did the Speedboat come from?
A genie did it.
BOATDOKEN!
BOATDOKEN!!
I wish I could upvote Cayley for that, that was awesome, I loved the 8bit reference.
Same, Kit ramos, that was A-class
If you look behind the Bistro (in the pics of the outside), you can see boat masts. It was included to imply the bistro is near/on the shore.
Oh THAT’S what those are! I thought they were old style TV antennas.
Yeah, my interpretation was that she grabbed the nearest object over three tons that wasn’t bolted down.
Random person by the docks: “Where’s my boat?!?”
I am surprised Araceli even knew where they were…
Even if a genie did it, its still impressive to find there exact location from only a phone call.
Didn’t she previously do this when Jeanie was sneezing out all her magic? I think she may have some sort of trace spell on Neil. Or is just so attuned to him that she can tell exactly where he is at all times.
Or it could be something simple like Rodge I phone has a locator on it. When you want to find something, you type in the business or store you want to go to and then type in the address and let the GPS tell you how to get there. If your not at home right now and some one want to find you, they type in your name and use the GPS to find you. If we can do that, then why can’t Genie do that or why they use our own GPS signal to find us too.
Well, that’s one way of taking out Lilly, one that I was not expecting!
I’m okay with it 🙂
Remember that Araceli teleported a car into a movie theater?
Heh, CD was hoping someone would notice this! It seems that Araceli has a certain affinity for vehicular weaponry.
Did Lilly eat Neil’s hands?
Oh shit… I certainly *hope* that’s an art error!
She’s just eating healthy. It’s all about proportional control. Just a handful….or two.
Wow!!!
My initial reaction is to wonder whose boat she teleported in, and whether said boat’s owner will show up and get upset with her. After that, there would need to be conversations with the restaurant owner about removing the boat from the premises, and with insurance about who has to pay for repairs (both to the restaurant roof and to the boat)
Yea… don’t think Insurance is something Araceli’s factoring into her rescue plan.
@MauveCloud – mad at her? The boat owner’s more likely to find the guy whose car Araceli used as a weapon way back when and start a support group for people whose vehicles teleport around.
Maybe the owner of the boat is the owner of that car?
Bet that hurt.
Oh CD… did you just give the Blue Djinn a stronger host? It makes sense for the Blue Djinn to use his power to control Araceli:
* She’s already blue, no awkward change of clothing
* She’s more powerful and knowledgeable then Jean
* She’s related to Guano. An easy in for usurping everyone.
Edit: Also wanted to say it looks like you’ve improved quite a bit CD. 🙂
only 1 problem with 2 of those options: Araceli loves Neil, and she would never harm her uncle Guano.
I don’t think Blue can just possess anyone he wants. Jeanie foolishly allowed him to possess her, not knowing what he really was, for the promise of power. Araceli will most likely recognize him for who he is right away.
I go with Robert on this one. That Jeanie foolishly opened the door and let the Blue Djinn in. He promise her power and to satisfy her desire to be transformed back into a guy. Jeanie got neither one of those promises and even now runs the risk of being assimilated out of existence and into the Blue Djinn person forever.
We already know that the Blue Djinn has to power to kill other Genie and take there power too. But, he doesn’t seem to have the power to physically take over another Genie unless they choose to allow the Blue Djinn to take over control of there body. But, once a genie surrenders control to the Blue Djinn, then all bets are off to what the Blue Djinn can do after that.
Jeanie being the new dumb broad who doesn’t know the rule, but, that doesn’t matter. She ripe for the taking and the Blue Djinn took her.
Let see you eat that boat Lillie, if you can. Oh, yes! She not a metal eater. She a people eater. Oh, well!
Lilly was sapient wasn’t she?
I know Aracelli loves Neil, but isn’t Cayley her official master? Would the other genies consider this a form of infidelity?
Also, Cayley as Aracelli’s master has always kind of bothered me, in a “small child finds a gun” sort of way only with a nuclear bomb instead of a gun. Cayley is a good little girl and would never intentionally hurt anyone permanently but children are emotional, impulsive and lack a good grasp of consequences while Genies are known for their odd moral values system that prizes loyalty to master’s wishes above all else. Does Aracelli have enough free will to prevent Cayley from ordering something irretrievable or unforgiveable, or a human enough ethical structure to even recognize what that would be? Jeannie’s upended multiple lives through shear thoughtlessness, imagine a small child yelling “I wish you were dead” in front of a being willing and capable to make it so.
> I know Aracelli loves Neil, but isn’t Cayley her official master? Would the other genies consider this a form of infidelity?
That is a very interesting point! I’d mulled that concept over a few times, but never when it might have been appropriate to comment about it, then forgot. It’d be interesting to see what other genies think of Araceli’s behavior toward Neil.
As to the point about Caley being dangerous with a genie, I’d like to point out that genie wishes seem pretty open to interpretation (i.e., “Make me a wife, et cetera”). Plus, I feel that Araceli could get Caley to take back a dangerous wish she can’t twist into a harmless one before she has to grant it. Additionally, the lives that Jean’s screwed up have been done without a wish being made (except for the captain).
EDIT – also, “I wish you were dead” is literally against the rules. Information page is awesome.
If you do an archive run, you’ll find Caley has ALREADY gone overboard, and Aracelli just turned Rojer to stone because he didn’t bring (Pizza?) for dinner that night
Why didn’t I see this before? In #530 panel 3 our Lilly is the Purple People Eater. Only one eye. OK, no one younger than 50 will get that.
Hey, I’m 35, and I get it! 🙂
Perhaps Lily is not completely lost: They could take cuttings…
Maybe graft the cutting onto a plant that is vegetarian. Rodge would have his Lilly back as a clone.
How much you want to bet that in his gratitude, he hugs her and says something like “I have never been so happy to see you.” And she just melts on him.
Flawless Victory
FATALITY
Rodge: “Hey, that’s my girlfriend you just killed!”
“Be careful, or someone may drop a boat on you! ” – Glinda the Good Witch of the North!
(close enough!)
Neil and Rodge are gonna need to get disguises Time for Natalie and Rouge time for a double tg.
> Rouge
YES! I love that name. 🙂
Thank you Robert I have hopes that name can be his female side one day in the comics it will be fun to see Rouge learn something or Rodge asks to be tg.
Its probable that Rouge would never want to change back.
I totally understand, I also thought poor Lily, but she is like Wendy the Wendigo, her dietary preference kinds of makes her a natural adversary. Both are what is collectively known as “humanitarians”
Well, I do believe Rodge wanted to motorboat Lilly, so I guess things turned out like he wanted.
Ugh, that pun was physically painful.
How does the “Genies can’t kill” rule relate to magically modified, sentient plants? Is Lilly still alive, but it is amazing what she can live though (paraphrasing from Aladdin 2) or does the fact that she is a plant mean she can be killed without concern. Is sentience important, or is a soul required, or is animal status all that is needed? I am curious how that rule is regarded in this situation.
