The Blue Djinn is an evil genie who was apparently defeated by Lord Guano in the past. But now he's back, and he's angling to take down the Genie Lords... but how does Jeanie factor into his plans?
Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
Well, I could say it may be payback for what Rodge said about Jeanie before, but not even Jeanie is that immature?
That or Jeanie thinks he should suffer a bit more, as a lesson to not hook up with some girl you just met, especially if she is a carnivorous plant in disguise.
I want to believe Jeanie figure out something while Blue wasn’t looking. At first I thought the whole Lily repeating things bit was a foreshadowing of Jeanie taking control over her, but maybe it was a tease of Jeanie being able to communicate with her? If that the case, and going back to the fact that Lily also wants to get rid of Blue, maybe they make a deal in secret.
I’m responding to the fact that Jeanie is out here, talking to Blue, rather than talking to Lilly. Which is what made me think she’d abandoned Rodge.
Though others have commented that perhaps Jeanie did something off-panel before Lilly began chewing on Rodge’s face, and she’s out here to *distract* Blue.
In a previous page, we saw Lilly repeating what Jeanie was saying. Speculation was that either Jeanie could make Lilly say things, or that Lilly could hear her and was repeating what she said as a subtle way to let Jeanie know that.
She seems to be just outside the place, so I doubt she poofed herself out. With that said, Neil may be to busy trying to either get the man-eating plant out of Rodgue, or figure out what the hell is going on to mind Jeanie leaving the place at the moment.
She might choose to teleport a short distance to avoid having to run through the fleeing crowd, while still remaining in the immediate area for gloating reasons.
Actually, the people who are fleeing are obviously out side the Bristo, but, the Blue Djinn and Jeanie are still inside. The sign be them say Coat Rack. The Coat Rack is right at the door where you come into the restaurant. Some times they will have a checker there to take and give you your coat too.
Remember it’s the script writer that make things happen “We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical. We can roll the image, make it flutter. We can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity. For the next hour, sit quietly and we will control all that you see and hear.”
Well, just for clarity, I’m not the writer. CD Rudd is. I just edit. I also ask him not to tell me what’s going to happen in the future, so I’m just as in the dark about what’s going to happen as everyone else.
Where’s Bay when you need her? I am still hoping Rouyaa will tip the bottle over, roll off the table and break the bottle. Then she can come to the rescue and deal with bad blue. Of course she might want her bottle back.
I can imagine it playing out like that. Big Bad Blue didn’t corked/capped her up in her original bottle. Maybe if the floor isn’t carpet and she would change back into her normal size upon breaking the bottle open…
If Jo is there then probably Lita and Alex are there as well. Alex’s Garand would just go through Lilly without doing that much damage but lita’s orc sword would the trim the plant down to size. Besides she really looks good in chain mail underwear.
Bizarre reflection: Uhh… a genie did it! *scampers*
But no, seriously. Blue/Jeanie clearly have control over what their reflection looks like, since Blue’s reflection apparently turns into Jeanie in panel 3.
Like Kazom make Jean a body with out magic. And ditch Jean some were far away like the desert.
Don’t give hims ideas!
How about this child version cause who would believe a kid talking about magic genies ant man eating plants this would be more beliavable.
Or ditch her in a volcano, or outer space, or even in the end of time!
Well, I could say it may be payback for what Rodge said about Jeanie before, but not even Jeanie is that immature?
That or Jeanie thinks he should suffer a bit more, as a lesson to not hook up with some girl you just met, especially if she is a carnivorous plant in disguise.
Or, like, maybe she can’t do anything with it?
Then why show us Lilly repeating anything that Jeanie said. I mean they wouldn’t show us that unless it was important…

It looks like Honey is leaving the the building in panel 2.
Also Jeanie’s hips are much wider then normal in panel 4, especially when compared to the blue djinn.
That’s just her puffy pants flaring up. She has the puffiest pants.
And yeah, that’s apparently a Honey cameo in panels 2 and 3. Also, Jo is leaving the frame, stage left, in panel 2.
Jeanie: He dies, WE get pulled back into the bottle, idiot.
@Robert: you need to change the description. Jeannie didn’t leave Neil and Rodge behind, The Blue Djinn Did That.
I’m responding to the fact that Jeanie is out here, talking to Blue, rather than talking to Lilly. Which is what made me think she’d abandoned Rodge.

CAN Jeannie talk to Lilly? So far as we know, the only person who can ‘hear’ Jeannie is the Blue Meanie.
In a previous page, we saw Lilly repeating what Jeanie was saying. Speculation was that either Jeanie could make Lilly say things, or that Lilly could hear her and was repeating what she said as a subtle way to let Jeanie know that.
oh. I apologize for my confusion.
Ooooooooooooooh Jeanie said a naughty word.
I would be calling him that too myself right now. 😀
Wait a sec, why is there no reaction from Neal? Shouldn’t he have said something before “Jeanie” left the place?
Jeanie almost certainly teleported.
She seems to be just outside the place, so I doubt she poofed herself out. With that said, Neil may be to busy trying to either get the man-eating plant out of Rodgue, or figure out what the hell is going on to mind Jeanie leaving the place at the moment.

Shamelessly stolen from The Outer Limits TV theme

Wait… then what was with the plant girl repeating Jeanie. Is she not going to posses her then?
Who knows. Hopefully we’ll find out what’s going on with the Lilly/Jeanie connection next week.
Looks like some of the departing Bistro patrons are a bit…nauseated?
I think the guy in green is just pale, perhaps Asian, and the guy on the far left is black.
If Jo is there then probably Lita and Alex are there as well. Alex’s Garand would just go through Lilly without doing that much damage but lita’s orc sword would the trim the plant down to size. Besides she really looks good in chain mail underwear.
There’s a mistake in the second panel. Blue’s reflection should be reversed, arms crossed the opposite way.
Or the missing belly button in the third.
Missing belly button: fixed.

is that Courtard Hotel Bristo in Port Carnvial?
Could be inspired by it, but the sign says “The Bistro on Cocoa Beach”.
