Jeanie Bottle 504
And we’re BACK!
The Blue Djinn’s got plans… but I’m wondering who Rodge just ran into.
If you need to re-catch on what happened prior to CD’s hiatus, visit the links below.
Last story comic before the hiatus, Jeanie Bottle 503.
The start of the current storyline, Jeanie Bottle 484
CD welcome back and cant wait to se where the story takes off from here. Wait is that Bay Beri and Teri in a swimsuit cover?
Who would pay to see Teri in a swimsuit, anyway?
@Brandon – Bay, Berry, Teri, and Heather. Praise the Maker for the zoom function on my phone.
Also, welcome back CD! I can’t wait to see more!
***spoiler***
Wait till you find out Ms Eden is the Blue Djinn’s wife.
Welcome back CD!
Well, it look like Blue Djinn is in control over Jeanie right now.
Have decided that Jeanie knows when the Blue Djinn in control over her body and vises verses. I think we have already determined that they both know when the other person in control over Jeanie body. If I remember right, Blue Djinn blew his cover of being just some feeling that Jean was having some time back. So it been a fight over who has control over Jeanie body, is it Jeanie or the Blue Djinn, because, the Blue Djinn is a disembodies Genie Spirit that currently doesn’t have a body, so he using Jeanie body as his substitute body right now.
Great to have you back mate. Missed you
Dumb question CD – if Jean regains control will her dress go back to pink or stay blue?
Also, selfish to ask… maybe 1 a day this week?
Is it Christmas time already?
HUMBUG!
Well I did get you a gift 🙂
But you’ll have to go to Danville, Illinois to pick it up.
So we have:
Panel One: Jean/Blue crushes the cup with the coffee Neil made for her.
Panel Two: J/B reforms the cup (don’t know if she did anything about the spilled coffee)
Panel Three: Rodge is “reading” a skin mag which is titled “P__X?“, maybe a spinoff of Playpen like Oui was a spinoff of Playboy back in the Seventies, not noticing that there’s an actual young woman with more clothes but no staples right behind him.
Panel Four: Rodge is putting back the skin mag and beginning to turn towards the woman in the pink shirt, brown vest, and green skirt, but still doesn’t see her.
Panel Five: CRASH! in pink over a sort of purpley flower, either a collision between Rodge and the nameless woman, or both of them being squished like bugs between the walls of the panel. It’s so narrow not all of the CRASH! fits inside.
He must have been “reading” a rather engrossing “article”.
Okay, first off, I am really happy to have you back CD, but… Why is Rodge’s hair so bright on this page?
Ah…. I’ll have to check my colour pallet to confirm.
Hmm, it does seem paler than average, now that I think about it.
OK, that’s fixed now. I went back to the last page that had Rodge in it and used his hair color from there.
All three girls are on the cover. Filler????? I saw heather. Welcome back CD. Could Rogers new friend in the book store be Agent Anderson?
Wrong hair color.
Great to have you back! On one of those background images, Jean has her hands on Neil’s shoulder. Were did that image come from?
Huh, that’s a good question. When I asked CD how he made that background, I think he mentioned that he created a few images especially for it. That’s probably why it isn’t familiar.
Now what’s happening? Been so long I’m confused…
You can find the links in the description for a quick catchup. But in resume, the Blue Djinn has taken total contro of Jean’s body, and it’s sure that Neil is a menace to his plans, so he has set up a weird backup plan to keep Neil “happy”. Meanwhile Rogde is still depressed after the emotional roller coster that was his adventure with Natalie during the last arc (and I am with him in that one), but it seems he is about to meet a brand new character?
There are links in the description to the first comic in the current storyline, and the last comic prior to the Hiatus.
I think this is the mimic trap that the Blue Djinn was previously working on. The skirt matches Neils shirt (episode 1). The blouse is the color of the Genie outfit (pink) and the vest is close to the color of Neils work-pants. The hair color is between Neils brown and Jeannies Blonde hair. The woman is in this bookstore because Jean probably spent much time there. The Blue Djinn wasn’t watching this while angry at Neil.
Hmmm, I hadn’t considered that possibility. Intriguing!
Ropert Merlock: The mixed hair-color works, but the rest of your colors are off. Bookstore Woman’s outfit looks like Belle’s (brown vest, pink sleeves) but with a green skirt which looks pretty much like the green shirt Neil wears away from work. Neil’s work pants are gray.
So why would the Blue Djinn send the mimic after Rodge?
@Tom Sewell If this is in fact the mimic (though, with the “elsewhere” up there, implying some sort of meanwhile, it seems to soon for it to be ready)it could just gone wrong as some of us expected, either for the Blue Djinn ignoring Jean’s backstory, getting a Natalie’s hair instead of a Neil’s one, or both. It may be after Rodge out of some side effect of Natalie’s last adventure, who knows. Still, I am leaning more for this girl being a new member of the human cast, and not the mimic itself.
That poor coffee cup….and all that hot coffee….ruined……..noooooooooooooo
Hey, Blue was nice enough to fix the cup in the next panel at least!… I will admit, the fact that “he” can use magic without a poof also creeps me out somehow.
Dang I thought maybe that girl was Belle with a different hair color because of the her top and vest but the skirt and hair style don’t match. The only reason that’s a problem is because Belle’s clothing has been very consistent over the years and it would be strange to change some things so drastically and leave others only tweaked… I think?
Belle’s outfit reminds me of Mizuho Kazami’s in Please, Teacher. But I guess there’s not much chance Belle could be a half-space-alien… is there?
Mizuho is totally Best Girl. 🙂
What the… Hey! The artwork looks different all of a sudden! And who are these characters?
It’s the guest author of the Christmas arc. Apparently Robert convinced him to do some more comics for the site 😉
I started thinking that the bookstore girl might be the pipe cleaner salesgirl from Rogers Vegas trip but the hair color is a tad off. Of course a trip to the hairdresser could have fixed that.
