Jeanie Bottle 315
It looks like Jeanie’s wild magic is having some rather far-reaching consequences…
NOTE TO READERS: This week you’re getting a 3-for-1 special!! Pages 315, 316, and 317 come out Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. These three special pages will chronicle the consequences of Jeanie’s magic going wild during her sneezing fit. The main story will continue next week on Tuesday, June 30th.
…. I am DEFINITELY liking this.:D XD And now, she’ll learn how bad it is to fall for any man she sees. XD
I thought there were consequences for Jeannie trying to use genie powers to mess with people’s minds? Shouldn’t there be the same consequences for her power doing that even if not under conscious control?
The rule is “A genie cannot impose its will onto a human by magic or force.” Jeanie’s not imposing her will here (heck, she probably doesn’t even know this is happening), she simply granted the wish he asked for as a literal genie would. Since she hasn’t got a husband (yet), the magic is apparently trying to make sure she gets one.
So she can choose not to marry anyone then? Considering she’s not married yet.
Don’t take my response as canon. I’m simply extrapolating from what we know. I’m just the editor, not the writer.
I think the original wish was “make me a good wife.” So the magic is trying to get her a husband so she can become a good wife. Presumably she would stop being attracted to every new man after she marries one. Just guessing.
Not just that, the other part of the wish was having a son.
Jean isn’t imposing her will on or controlling the free will of the Greek fisherman.
The Greek Captain (since we don’t have a name for her yet) is being controlled by biology. Now I’m not saying all women’s mind goes to mush when they meet men, but she’s been turned into a women with a extreme susceptiblity to her hormones in this regaurd.
Same with the little girl. She has her male mind, but the emotions, maturity and desires of a little girl (hence the bunny doll and pony cartoons).
Seems like she can still pick who she marries though. Seeing as she hasn’t picked someone yet.
It looks like she hasn’t had a good night’s sleep in awhile.
Well she’ll get plenty now, unless they do any all-night MLP marathons on Greek TV.
So they switched spells?
If Jean’s granting all these wishes, Red could be in for a surprise.
Red, unfortunately, does not feature in this 3-for-1 special. Probably because it would interfere with The Melvin Chronicles.
It “looks like” the poofs are getting included anyway
Thanks for pointing that out! I may not have noticed the “Poofs” in Melvin, since I was distracted by the font.
More’s the pity. 🙁
“Oh what a night! Late December Nineteen Sixty-Three…”
gringo are very busty
I really wish you were the one doing the Red *poof*. It would be far more interesting and funny.
yeah
claro que si
Melvin doesn’t seem to have the same subtle humor and enjoyable style that Jeanie and SS have aquired.
Or it could just be the big boobs. IDK 🙂
That’s because the writers are trying hard to be “mysterious”, and as a result the story is all over the place.
I kinda feel bad for her since it seems the guys are taking advantage of her situation.
Just before the POOF!, each one of them complains that the other one got the better (or less worse) deal. At least to me, that sounds like they each wished they had it as good as the other one–and then, both got their wishes. So, maybe even genies having allergic reactions unconsciously respond to masters and ex-masters (or victims.)
So why did Neil get hit on the head by furniture? Well, it is something Jean has done at least once before…
Maybe as a man the Greek Captain played the field and his/her behavior in this respect hasn’t changed with the exception of our perception that “male = player / female = slut”.
I doubt he was successful as a man since he felt like he needed to wish for a wife.
I know you’ve stated a few things up above to try to explain it, but it REALLY upsets me the way you’ve depicted their actions as being so greatly predicated upon their forms, as if they have no will, and/or the magic has re-written their individuality.
Thinking about it I’d rather be a little girl interested in pony cartoons and bunny dolls than a grown woman who’s mind went to mush around boy’s and wound up sleeping with a different one on a nightly basis.
How is the captain not pregnant yet?
Neighbor’s like “Yes, right over there Officer. Every night it’s a different man, ALL the while her CHILD is in the house!”
