Jean AKA Jeannie AKA Jeanie is a film, book, and magazine reviewer for a national magazine. Most of Jean’s work is done through email, which means he doesn't have to go into the office.
On a trip to find a gift for his girlfriend, Jean found an empty Genie Bottle. Upon picking up this bottle, Jean became the bottle’s new genie-powered occupant. Not only was Jean turned into a genie, but the bottle turned him into what he believed a genie of the bottle should look like. Which, due to his fascination with a classic 60s TV show, turned him into a busty blonde woman.
A junior engineer working for a small engineering firm in Cocoa Beach. The firm focuses mostly on NASA projects.
Neil is Jean’s best friend. When Jean was turned into a genie, Neil became Jeanie’s master.
Now if Guano were to reverse all of Jean’s wishes back to when she got to Las Vegas and then send her back to her trainer, Jean would get her punishment and we would Natalie back.
Oh I meant that if Guano enforced some lengthy punishment on our wayward gambling genie before Natalie got turned back…that would have been unfortunate…yeah, that’s the word.
Is she misusing them though? First off we dont know if shes actually poofing the results or just being hopeful. Secondly what is the difference between a genie creating a boat full if gold and a genie wining roulette so her master can move into a better home? I’d sat Guano is more annoyed she’s in Vegas and not with her master/trainer.
The difference between creating a boat full of gold and winning at the roulette wheel is that in the first case, the gold was apparently spontaneously created — it didn’t necessarily come from somewhere/someone else. At a this business (the word is blocked), however, the money is coming from the business’ account.
In the first case it is just using genie powers to mess with nature somewhat. In the second case, it is misusing genie powers to steal. Big ethical difference whatever other concerns there might be about a genie wandering away from her master at will.
Also, the boatload of gold was generated for a Master, whereas here Jean is doing it for her own benefit. In terms of genie-ethics, it may be rather like using your employer’s property to line your own pockets.
Beyond that, being separated from Neil for nearly a week has likely led Lord Guano to think that Jean is being derelict in her duty. I forsee a chained-at-the-hip type punishment where Jean can’t be more than a certain distance away from Neil for a chapter or so.

So, for some reason, my normal post is being filtered out and denied in both chrome and firefox, but I can post the error message I got. Is the word for where gambling occurs being blocked?
I took a look at the comment moderation settings, and that place where gambling occurs is not a moderated word. The error message appears to be related to an Apache server plugin, though, which is controlled by CD’s webhost, rather than CD himself.
I’m guessing that this host had a serious problem with gambling spam at some point and just outright blocked the word at the server level. There’s nothing either of us can do about that, sadly.
Jean is going to lose her powers except to grant neils wishes I think. But fear not Blue should be here any time now.
Jean should know better poofing in not gambling. Personally I like that she’s cheating the house.
Don’t forget way back in some of the earlier panels. A genie can’t have anything not given to her by her master. So Jean looks like he’s in for some more hang time. Perhaps being restricted to the same building her bottle is in.
NOOO, NOT LORD GUANO!
P.S. Monopoly Guy on panel three on the very right XP
Oops, I mean 2 two and four
Shhh you could of just said it was 0 based indexing, then 1 and 3 would of been right.
(panel 2 + panel 4) / 2 gives us an average of panel 3; I see nothing wrong with your initial statement.
“Rich Uncle Pennybags™”
Of course. Who else would be in Atlantic City?
I wonder what her punishment will be this time around? hopefully it will involve more natalie ^_^
I’m kindof fond of her previous punishment…
… and given that Araceli put herself/bottle in the mail to get back to Neil she should be turning up just in time to replace Jeanie again.
Oh please let the punishment involve her getting turned back into chibi-Jeannie. She was so adorable.
Now if Guano were to reverse all of Jean’s wishes back to when she got to Las Vegas and then send her back to her trainer, Jean would get her punishment and we would Natalie back.
Too bad Guano didn’t show up in Vegas before Natalie went bye bye.
How do you know he didn’t afterall Neil is being rather evasive in his answer if he didn’t know something happened he’d have just said no she isnt.
Oh I meant that if Guano enforced some lengthy punishment on our wayward gambling genie before Natalie got turned back…that would have been unfortunate…yeah, that’s the word.
Of course Lord Guano.would show up. Misusing one’s powers to cheat at roulette is a serious offense…
Is she misusing them though? First off we dont know if shes actually poofing the results or just being hopeful. Actually, if you look carefully, you can see a little poof in the third panel by the number 7.
Jean’s not in Las Vegas. She’s in Atlantic City, NJ. Look at the top of panel 2.

Well, that too…
UH. Oh.
What does Neil know about this?
Quite a bit, I would expect, seeing as the “curse” doesn’t just wear off, someone had to change him back.
I bet eventually it’s going to come down to system where Neil has to make a wish at least once a week to keep the genie police off her back.
Neil’s had been making wishes regularly, to become Natalie.
I’m not sure he was really wishing as much as he was asking.
Quick someone get an organ player to make the dun nun nun sound!
Oh, Guano. I think the Guano’s about to hit the fan.
I bet she’s going to lie and say the people around her were wishing it would land on seven…..however many times she’s poofed it there

Yep. Had to put “for where gambling occurs” in in place of the normal descriptive noun.

Hmm, I try something: Kah-see-no
Lessee if that works.

Ruh Oh!
So I wonder how many more pages before Neil becomes Natalie all the time…. or at least way more often then he is changing now.
Oh Jeanie, oh Jeanie, I think you might want to turn around and see who’s behind you.
Don’t forget way back in some of the earlier panels. A genie can’t have anything not given to her by her master. So Jean looks like he’s in for some more hang time. Perhaps being restricted to the same building her bottle is in.
And since She wasn’t given the money to “gamble” or the free time to waste there could be the story line for the next couple of strips.
I wonder if Lord G. guano give the kasino it’s mulla back.
I’m just hoping to see Guano do something to piss-off Endora. He won’t know what hit him . . . 😉
The head genie’s right behind her.
Lord Guano vs Endora, interesting idea.
Earlier, Endora referred to Derick as an “infidel”, Endora and Guano might know each other.
What a laugh if they were related, cousins or even brother and sister!
Missuse of powers…hmmm doesn’t look good for Jean
As punishment, make Jeanie a check out person at Walmart.
